After lots of online research about wanting to black my lights out, I came across this tint film which is 100% legal! It is made by a company called mintmylights. They do have a genuine eBay store and sell via that as well as their website. There are copycat products on eBay though so be careful etc. In fact the copycat's are more expensive that the genuine stuff? Odd. Here is the link for the genuine stuff: www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SPI-VISION-HEAD-LIGHT-TINT-50CM-X-100CM-ROAD-LEGAL-VINYL-TINTING-FILM-MOT-PASS-/200806668933?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item2ec1029a85 Anyway about the film... - Its 100% legal (does not distort light beam) and conforms to the new 2012 MOT testing regulations.
- It doesn't bubble when you apply it, as air cannot be trapped.
- It looks awesome!
I am seriously getting some I reckon. Will look great with my dark tint screen. Check out this application video on a Yamaha R6...

Spray paint - NOT ROAD LEGAL. - Cheap and scratches off. And why you think its looks crap? I think it looks pretty smart. Looks very MotoGP.

Some of them are still legal when it gets dark. As far as I know Al, NONE of them are legal. As they "distort" the light pattern. The regulations changed in late 2012, so all these places still advertising them as "legal" might not be within the new current law. Plus they stick on with tacky Velcro pads. Could get stolen parked outside Tesco's in seconds with a quick "chav grab".

They are 100% legal in daylight. Just when it gets dark it changes.

its like helmet tints legal in the day time and ilegal at night Yeah daytime's fine. I know that's legal. But Al mentioned some being advertised as legal at night? And maybe before 2012 they were. But I doubt it now...

It actually looks good on white bikes (or cars) because it makes it look darker than it is. Black does have that same effect though. Its weird.
