I'm so tempted by the ECU. Is the 32mm throttle body and intake manifold worth it on a 125cc? Does it make much difference???

Sure helps with making the most of the ECU, which in truth, is the complete package. I have split the items as I don't think that many L plater's would have that much to spend.
WITHOUT the ECU, the 32, with custom exhaust and open airbox, my YZF, when it was on the road went from 12hp at the rear wheel to 14+hp ATRW. On a little engine it all helps and % wise, compared to a 1000cc motor, they are significant gains. Cheers

My mates yzf is 13bhp and that's an exhaust and filter you would be better off buying a mallossi big bore kit for the best gain 20+ bhp. At the wheel

Well I am considering either the ECU shown above or I can get a DynoJet Power Commander 3.
Dunno what to do. Obviously the Power Commander is a lot cheaper option.
But then again, no doubt the ECU will be a much better HP gain...

nooo dont be brain washed power comander everytime ecu will be preset a powercomander you can customise yoour exact bike then if oyu ever go big bore kit you already have it, and the fact its being delivered from australia there could be continent bike differences ever so slightly, or you get alot of import tax banged on top of it if you want power do it properly 180mallosi kit pc3 and your pipe will already fit

Hey CBR person, thanks for jumping in on my post. Do you have a clue at all what a DAYTONA ecu is? Regardless of your opinion, A 180 malossi kit and a powercommander 3 will set you back how much? And as a L plater , well that's why their 125's
If you do upgrade to a 180 malossi kit, you get a malossi force commander fuel controller with the kit. It has 2 preset maps and a custom, build your own, an extra 1500 revs and your not paying for extra PC 3 downloads to suit. SPR in Notts sell the Force Commander on their own for $400 Au+ and the whole kits approx $1,600 Au. The Daytona ECU is cheap at 233 pounds. It is also part of a 150 big bore kit but works extremely well on a loosened up R125.
Second hand, not tax if it's to your door. And it's the same R125 your got over there I know because that where I brought most of my stuff from for it. Same dead EU restricted little motor. So on your bike CBR buddy, mate.

I don't like putting down other rival products as I believe that they all have there place in the market, and they often do different tasks. A PC3 is an inline piggyback fuel controller, it can add or subtract the amount of fuel your engine requires. The Malossi FC is a similar item in that it is a fuel controller, but with the benefit of allowing the motor to REV higher. An ECU is the entire electrical system for a Fuel Injected motor, including the CDI/TDI, it has preset maps that work in conjunction with other motor component signals, and provides an appropriate ignition, fuel and advance at any given time the motor is being used. Not quite self learning but pre programmed. In the DAYTONA ECU, it is similar but with higher performance number sets (more fuel and advance, stronger spark) and a raised rev limit. If you want any further info on the Daytona ECU PM me. No smarties can hijack the post then. I was asked to join this forum, to help young riders sort fact from bullsh!t. A great start Ah!

Ive never heard of that type of ecu bud, so you could be selling them absolute garbage, i wasnt putting your stuff down bud, just saying id rather stick with the stuff i know, so for you to be trying to sell something not many people have heard of people are bound to be skeptical, i mean im willing to have a look if you have a website and bikes that have had it done so i can see for myself, and you can get the bikes standard ecu reflashed on them these days, but for what your asking money wise its not worth the bhp you said 14+ with no cliams my mates is 13 with a pipe and filter so have fun with selling it bud

READ it CBR, and you'll find that 14hp was WITHOUT the ECU. You cannot Flash a YZF R125 ECU. Dynoed @17.6 h.p.with 32 and ECU. Go to the YAMAHA R125 world forum RE : motobum, it's all there. I'm a motorcycle racer/ modifier and this stuff has come of my own bike and you have not heard of a DAYTONA ECU because you ride a Honda. These are also RARE, very rare, and I'm selling the FI stuff and the plastics because I use race fiberglass and am swapping over to a big bore, CDI/carby set up so I can stay with the 150cc Honda's I have to race against. As for luck with selling it, well, I was hoping to be doing someone a favor

and something you said earlier about modding them and being a 125cc still on l plates its regardless because the 125cc are so closely governed you are technically not meant to alter the performance of them at all what they are is the legal limit here for l plates
G'day mate!

My mates yzf is 13bhp and that's an exhaust and filter you would be better off buying a mallossi big bore kit for the best gain 20+ bhp. At the wheel The malossi bore kit with cam shaft will only do about 18bhp and thats with an exhaust and filter.
