You can legally plug certain speed rated tires, and only if its in the middle of the tire carcass and they are only designed to be a temporary thing not to be left in, i had one on my rs longer than i should of but it never got worse for me

mine was only 10 quid

and they arnt designed to be a full time replacement they should tell you to replace the tyre asap, its mainly if you are stranded and need to get home still
