Had my first bike accindent on the weekend, was going 75 - 80 down the inside lane of the deul carriage way and a van drive which was over taking decided to pull back in. He hit my handlebar causing one hell of a tank slapper (somehow I stayed on the bike!!) then he went into me a second time crushing my knee against my bike leaving me with a huuuge bruise!
Damage to my bike - the smallest mark on my bar end. Damage to van - Huge dent in wing from me knee.
Bike 1 - Van 0
Lucky not to have come off..
Moral of the story; he was a cunt.

I have got nothing to claim for really no damage to my bike, and you would'nt get anything for a bruise!

You were lucky to get away from that without coming off. I had a car decide to overtake a van infront of him as I was overtaking his car the other day. Was just up along side him, when he decides to start pulling out. No indicators and obviously didn't check it was safe to do so. Had to move over and hit the throttle to avoid a collision.

even the van driver was surprised that i stayed on lol. This is why i bought i 125 to ride for a couple of years before getting a bigger bike, don't reckon i would be writing this status if i was riding a 600cc. Experience is a bikers best friend Sounds like you had a lucky escape too dave!!

Too many numptys on the roads :l Van drivers are the biggest dickheads in the world! They are so fucking impatient it's ridiculous. I was out riding the second day after receiving my bike (this is my first ever time on a bike) so you can imagine how I was riding and how very careful I was being around round abouts. So I just come around a big roundabout to have a white van undertake me on the actual roundabout luckily I was really close to the roundabout other wise he probably wouldn't have had the space and hit me :/ anyways he fell into traffic soon as he got off so me being the aggy cunt that I am I knocked on his window and have him a ear full and told him that L stands for learner fucking mug.

The latest craze over here seems to be pulling out from the left at roundabouts, even when they look right and see you.
