Official News From Yamaha.The Yamaha R4 is in production but hasn't been given a definite release date yet. But guess what?... ... The R4 is a 250cc!!! It is in production now and is due to be for sale for end of 2013 or beginning of 2014. It is to rival the Honda CBR 250R as that holds basically ALL of the quarter litre segment of the market. The CBR 250R outsells the Ninja by loads and is the biggest selling 250cc bike by far. And the CBR 125R always owned most of the 125cc market and it probably still does. That is why Yamaha launched the YZF R125 to compete with Honda. And also because the market for 125's and 250's is growing rapidly. Whereas the market for 600's and 1000's is actually dropping a lot of the past few years. My personal guess is that's due to the cost of the bike, but mainly fuel taxes rising and fucking INSURANCE. So anyway, the R4 is official and is being put together by Indians as we speak. The 250cc thing was a shocker though. I expected a 399cc. But I still want one!

The you got the CBR 250 which has really good reviews. And you also got the new Ninja 300.

The you got the CBR 250 which has really good reviews. And you also got the new Ninja 300. Onu cbr I'd have is the 600 lol. Think ninja 300 is best option in my opinion what you think?

ninja 250 will smoke a 200cc yzf, ninja 250 is as fast as a rs125 at full power and they smoke yzf 200s and the cbr250 only has about 24bhp so under powered its mad, they also do duke 200s and 390?

nah mate ive had my bike dynoed before and after lucky if you get 1, more so with yzfs its just the look and noise mostly

The R125 with 200cc kit DOES beat the Ninja 250. Its been reported loads of times. Even the guy who did that R6 swing-arm transplant (extra weight) to the R125 beats the Ninja 250.

ive seen a couple race in the flesh =/ Dunno then, but its always reported that the R200 beats the Ninja 250 and other bikes. But was this R200 just the cylinder? Because that's not the full kit.Its like people who fit the Malossi 180 kit and that's it. Maybe they fit the cam too. But the full kit is the bigger throttle body and intake and 10 hole injector etc.
