Over the course of time any tank (car or bike) will build up a small amount of sludge/silt that'll sit on the floor of the tank. Which is why some folks clean them out with products like Redex from time to time. It used to be more of a problem with metal tanks (from rust) but, you still get the problem with modern epoxy resin coated, albeit on a lesser scale. Petrol will over time slowly eat away at the coating inside the tank. This, along with small particles that have contaminated the fuel along the storage and delivery process, sink to the bottom of your tank and get sucked through when it's empty. I have read and heard about this many times and it does make some logical sense....well, it does to me anyway.

Yeah it does and I know about shite off rusty tanks etc. But modern bikes are all plastic and there are fuel filters etc, so there no worry of it.

Redex cleans your injectors Redex cleans everything where fuel goes. Cleans injectors (or carbs), fuel lines, cylinder walls, valves, piston head etc. It cleans "like" premium fuel, but its on a more intense and concentrated scale.
