Some further info; PC's are good, but all they will do to a YZF for example is optimise the air fuel ratio across the standard rev range. All good, but the actual power it will produce is limited to the other mods you do to the engine. Meaning that the PC can be mapped for a freed up airfilter or a performance exhaust, it will allow you to get the best from those mods but at the very most 1h.p. tp 1.5 h.p as that is all that those 2 mods can provide .Any further mods and it a new map download or dyno set. And the man at the Yamaha dealership can do the same almost for next to nothing by shifting the CO values on the stock ECU, usually on the + side. So get a Akro pipe say, and get your CO upped to + 20 and you will do just as well as a PC.
The ECU swap not only optimises the air fuel, it has lots of maps to choose from, it provides a performance, ignition advance curve and the appropriate mapping for the engine to rev harder. It will also plug and play a bigger cam without having to alter anything as well as accepting a 150cc big bore without having to remap anything. That is where your paying for the extra, and... it plugs straight in, undo the clip on the old one and push in the new one.

My bike's running lean and I think a power commander would do the trick. Plus they're easy to fit.I'm not gonna change the ecu.

Have you tried to get the CO value changed by a Yammy dealer ?

I am sick of being cut off at 10,500. Even the Malossi kit takes you to 11,500. But 12,000 would be nice.

The malossi kit takes it to 12,000 Ah okay fair doos. See I want some of that. 10,500 is shite. Especially when I go to overtake at 9,000 and it hits the limiter on the way past. Makes you look a right DICK.
