Just thought I'd show what Ive been working on over the past couple of months since I got this bike. I swapped it for my Aprilia RS and couldnt be happier. I'm 27 years old and done with the smelly, break down every 1000 miles, sound like a wasp on red bull, 2 stroke thing now. Anyway, when I got the YZF it was just original stock. I'm the second owner from new and it had 4800 miles on it when I got it. It wasnt customised in anyway and I didnt get the feeling it had been thrashed. The original owner was quite a novice and that was only the bad point really. Heres why... * I highly doubt the oil had ever been changed in that 4800 miles. * The brake pads were the originals from new and they had no meat on them. * The rear brake caliper pins had seized as they had never been undone. * The tyres were original Michelins from new and they were bald. * The coolant was just below the LOW mark.But apart from that the bike was a decent deal. In the couple of months or so Ive had it I have: * Dropped the old oil & replaced with Castrol 1 Power Racing. * Replaced the oil filter. * Cleaned the air filter as it was hardly mucky. * Fitted new brake pads and new caliper pins (all greased). * Pirelli Sport Demon Tyres. * GPR straight through exhaust system. * R&G Tail Tidy. * New handlebar grips. * New bar end weights. * PowerBronze Double Bubble Dark Tint Airflow Screen. * New heavy duty chain and JT sprockets. * Various decals/stickers (some custom made).And here is my bike so far...

Todays Mod Job: Well the Scottoiler is installed! Was super easy and I didnt scratch my hands at all fitting the vacuum plug as other people have mentioned. I hardly even had to get my hands in. Its pretty easy to get to when you know where it is. I just used my fingertips to push it on. I fitted the reservoir unit using the dedicated brackets and one of the fairing screws under the tail fairing piece. I routed the vacuum pipe and breather tube up under the seat via the rear foot peg hole with the vacuum pipe continuing along to the throttle body. I routed the oil feed pipe down from the reservoir across the chain guard, through the inside of the swingarm and out through the drain hole, then connected the drip nozzle end to the rear spindle using the dedicated bracket. And I only took of the small black side piece of my fairing and unlocked the seat. Nothing else was taken off at all. It works perfectly. Im so pleased with it. Here are some pics:

Well my stainless steel HEL brake lines are now fitted! I am really happy with them. They look so much better and perform well too. But I went and invented my own way of doing brake lines after getting frustrated after hours of trying to pump the air pockets out of the line. My little piece of home made kit makes it a 30 second job! I really wish Id used this from the start. No more finding a mate to keep pumping the brake while you fiddle at the other end. Its a one man, 30 second job with this amazing piece of kit that I made!...

Hey! went on your youtube and you had a vid of your exhaust, and it sounds awesome! i must say i do agree on that thing you say about 2 stroke bikes ;D iv been looking for a new exhaust for my own bike too, it's way to quiet and sounds like a drill + we are using the same kinda thing to get the air out of the brakes on cars its really efficient! keep up your work! BTW the new makeover is awesome !

Im on the lookout for a better air filter and some different wheels now.
Im thinking either white or black wheels. I hate the silver.
White would look amazing, but only when theyre clean!
Black would probably look the best. Or maybe gold? Not sure.

Good Video mate and your bike looks well. cleaner than mine It looks like it polishes well. how did you get your Tyre lettering like that i tried a pen off ebay and it lasts for a week or 2 then fades plus look how clean your chain and sprocket is

Cost about a quid! I've only ever used it once when I first had the Pirelli tyres fitted and that was ages ago! Was it definitely a tyre pen you bought and not like a correction pen like Tippex? Ive known people use Tippex before... ;D And as for my chain and sprocket, I have fitted a SCOTTOILER! I have mentioned about this on the other forum topic about chain cleaning. Seriously, get one. They cost a fair bit new (around £70 on ebay and a bit more direct from Scottoiler) but I got mine second hand off ebay including postage for under £25! Its been awesome. Really has. Top up the oil and that's it. It lubes as you turn the throttle so your chain is always oiled at the perfect time, which is when its warm. Apart from a very rare brush round the chain with a toothbrush to clear any excess road dirt, I never touch the chain. I wash it with shampoo water when I wash the rest of my bike and as soon as I go for a ride, its lubricated again! Plus the Scottoiler Oil isn't like that thick, sticky goo that you get in a spray can. Its more like a chainsaw oil. Which is thinner and much better for your chain. Plus it doesn't fling off and make a mess everywhere like that spray lube does. Even if it says it is ANTI-FLING it still flys off everywhere and makes mess. I would really recommend one to anyone with a motorbike. Even a push bike! They take all the hassle and mess away and your chain life is much longer. I think Scottoiler say it increases chain life by 7 times! Its much better anyway. Have a look for yourself - www.scottoiler.com

Cant stand crap products that don't do what they are supposed to do. Lies like that are basically legal theft.

i never thought i could of put my alarm led there Haha. I been thinking about it for a few days. I didn't wanna do it on the clocks or where other people have theirs. Works really well though. Just drilled the seat and it fitted nice and tight. I super-glued it in as well though so its all nicely sealed. So where did you put your alarm system's LED then 22bud2?
