Well my new exhaust has arrived. A nice REMUS! So far I've started giving it a good spit and polish. Should be fitting it tomorrow. Its got a weird DB Killer/Removable Baffle though...

Carbon fibre scorp Sorry dude, I had to draw a line and for what you were asking it was out of my budget. Plus when I added the 60 odd quid from Scorpion for a new end cap, it really was well outta my budget. Bare in mind, I have gold wheels coming and then got to have my Pirelli tyres swapped on to them new wheels. Also got new decals coming, doing a full engine flush and oil change too. It all adds up. Oddly enough though I've ended up with a Remus. Which is one of the most expensive systems around. - Although I got it at a mega bargain. And also one of the best systems available for the Yam YZF. That's according to various reviews and things. I haven't tested it personally... ...Yet. Was planning to build a custom pipe but after hearing all the cons rather than pros with the custom R6 exhaust etc, I decided against it.

Well that's another oil change done, but this time I did things different. Firstly, I took my bike out for a quick blast to get everything nice and warm. Then I got back and dropped the oil. I got rid of 400ml of the old oil and mixed a 400ml can of this in... Then poured the oil and flush mixture back in the bike. And ran the engine on tick-over for around 15 mins. Then dropped the oil and flush mixture... ...And my god is was blacker than usual. So yes it must have cleared some crap out. Then I removed the old oil filter and replaced with my new K&N one. After that I poured in my nice golden Shell/Ducati Advanced Oil... Then fired her up and all is nicely lubricated once again.

Now for my new exhaust... ...The Almighty REMUS! ;D When I first got it, I went out and bought a tin of this. Its made by the same company who make Brasso. In fact Brasso would have worked fine too, but they only had the wadding in a can and not the liquid. So I decided to go with the Silvo instead. And it works a treat! It stinks (like cat piss) but its good stuff. Its thicker than Brasso is. Not as runny. Which makes it easier to work with. You work it onto the metal, it dries quite hard and crusty, then you buff it off. Also, that tin should last me till the day I die as I only put my cloth to the tin 3 times and that did my entire exhaust! So yes it spreads really well. And it was only £2.50 which I thought was an excellent price. And whereas Brasso would have cleaned and polished, Silvo does that but acts as a tarnish guard and gives a protection. So hopefully it will work as I get fed up of the exhaust going dull so quick. Then once it was all cleaned and looking good I bought this decal... Ordered it from DMB Graphics and 2 days later it was through my letterbox. Cant fault that for service. I will upload some pictures of the finished item as soon as I get chance. My bike is dirtier than Essex Girls right now, so I will take some pictures once its all cleaned up.

if you are refering to the filter MRB3N have changed in his update above its a oil filter but i dont think you will get any more power with a k&n air filter, the stock should be fine but i dont know. your bike will sound a bit better tho, not much but a bit..

it should even out your fuel air ratio if you have an exhaust

The K&N air filter is about £30 and lasts a lifetime/a million miles! The Yamaha stock paper air filter is about £20 and lasts about 3000 miles. The pattern part paper filter is about £12 and lasts about 3000 miles. So really its a no-brainer for me just based on that. But also the K&N will make your bike feel so much smoother. It evens out the airflow to fuel ratio nicely. As the R125 is built to run rich as stock. (Especially he 09 range). This is to cope with fuel tolerances as foreign countries fuel can be a bit shite. This is why when you add an aftermarket exhaust in the UK and use decent fuel then you get some right pops and bangs coming out the end. And even flames so I'm told! (I've never seen my own arse end so I don't know). ;D This is due to un-burnt fuel getting through to your exhaust. Which sounds fun, but really isn't that great. Especially as you're paying through the nose (in the UK) for that fuel!!! Since I've added the K&N Air Filter and its increased the air flow I don't remember a single bang from my exhaust. Not from my old GPR or my new REMUS. So that's better for me. I still have the nice poppy-rumble but no backfire bangs! I like the sweet popping sound, but the bangs sound a bit old-banger-style shite I reckon.
