if i was their mate id gladly attend something like this Should be a great evening, they're hoping for record numbers this year. Unfortunately though, the Department of Transport have decided to cover large parts of the course in that shitty tar and chip shite, leaving the roads covered in gravel (bleedin wankers) and the weather forcast is for persistant rain, high winds, low cloud and hill fog. Just what you need for riding over the mountain on a bike

yeh that tar chip stuff is a cheap way of resurfacing a road the cards squash it into the ground but god its so dangerous to bikers =/

This got posponed yesterday due to the weather and is now due to set off in ten mins.
At the grandstand at the minute and I've got to admit that I'm shitting myself. Over 300 bikes are here to take part :0
Think I'll stay near the back. This is going to be insane.

That was one hell of a great rideout. You could actually feel the ground rumbling when everyone started their engines up at the start. It was like a mini earthquake Ended up near the front of the pack, relatively speaking. Can't stop grinning even now. Loads of people lined the course to cheers us all on and we even got flagged in on our return to the TT grandstand. It was almost like taking part in the TT itself, only slower There should be some vids uploaded to youtube within the next day or two, as there were plenty of folks recording it, so I'll post a link in here if anyones interested. Here's a couple of pics for now.

I was wondering the same, as I didn't see the rider until we were about to set off. Then some huge woman in here 50's appeared and got on it. I felt sorry for the poor little bike tbh

I go past at around 3.36 That is FUCKING AWESOME!!! I am doing this in my life-time. It takes place on the anniversary of Joeys death (July 2nd) every year mate. Although this year it was postponed by a day due to the weather. As riding on the mountain in torrential rain, gale force winds and zero visibility due to low cloud, was thought too risky and I'm so glad they did
