How easy Is this to do on my Yamaha yzf r125..
I refuse to pay £50 for it! Anyone on here done one, and can shed some light on the ease / difficulty of the job.
Will.

You have to take the side panel and belly pan off to change oil filter once panels are off its 3 bolts for oil filter and then just the sump plug!

Can anyone recommend a decent torque set that I can get online to do the oil change on the R125?
And what size I'll need?
They charge £90+ over here for an oil change...no joke.
Thanks.

It took me 15 minutes to do, couple of plastic panels filter and sump plug was easy.
Also i bought the Haynes manual for the r125, worth buying if anyone has not already.

You don't need torque dave70. This isn't the IOM TT pit-stop team. Just use regular sockets and spanners. You don't need a torque set to tell you that you are doing something too tight for an oil change. Just tighten it. Seriously, do it up till it pinches then a touch more. You don't need to be forcing your foot against it till you shred the bolt to bits. Its not a car wheel nut, its a sump plug. Get an old rusty spanner from bottom of your tool box on it. Haha.

I just thought that I may as well buy one anyway, as I Iintend to do more work on my bike in the future. So thought I would get the right gear and do it all by the book. Also, I don't know my own strength sometimes and tend to break things unintentionally. Lol

Finally got around to doing my first oil change. Cost was a set of spanners = £10 + oil = £9:95 total = £19:95. Cost of local yammy dealer over here to do it = £90, therefore a saving of £70 I'm a complete mechanical noob and had been putting this job off for so long, through fear of the unknown but even I found it easy as piss.

Did you get torque spanners, Dave? nah...didn't bother in the end. I just bought a regular set for now. keeping my eye out for a bargain priced set of torque ones though.
