I am using muc off at the moment. But seems rubbish. Chain looks and feels really dry a few hours after. Anyone recommend a decent chain lubricant? Thanks

Lol...how'd you manage that...hope you haven't got any on your brake disc Sounds like you are spraying too far away from the chain. Try spraying it on really close until you're practically touching the chain and spray it on gently. ..ie; don't press the nozzle of the can all the way down, just about half way or so should do, you'll get the hang of it with a little practice To remove it from your wheel, get some degreaser...spray on the effected area and wipe off. And while we're on the subject of dry lube, after using this stuff on and off for almost a year, I must say that I'll be giving it a miss from now on. It's handy to use as a quick fix, but overall, I have noticed my chain deteriorating a lot quicker. Personally, I'll be sticking with the oily stuff from now on.

I think it's because I was a bit away from chain when spraying and I was pressing nozzle all way down lol oops :/ tried to wipe off with wet cloth straight away but made it all sticky and worse lol Erm don't think it went on brakes as I was spraying it at the sprocket and like a idiot I didn't check. So tomorrow morning will have a look before riding it lol. It should be visible is it is on brakes/disc right? I don't like this dry stuff just doesn't make me feel like its lives enough as it ain't that visible so I think I'll grab an oily one next time. Without paddock stand in blazing hot rolling bike on my own and lubing killed me lol as I was fasting as well :/ deffo need to invest in an scottoiler lol!

I used to think the dry lube was great at first as one of the benefits is there's no fling off but, over the course of time, my chain was starting to get messed up. If you got any on the brakes, you'll soon find out lol I'd give your brake disc a wipe over with degreaser just in case but, I'm sure you'd be able to see it.

Lol ment to type like less not lifeless Haha but yea a stand is kinda needed there is a set of two on eBay for under 100 that are ment to keep the weight of the yzf but I'm sceptical because they look a little thin and flimsy,

I only need a rear stand for lubing really so would appreciate if someone could put a link here for one they know is good to hold the yzf weight cheers Penny I've seen the muc off cleaning thing and I'll be investing in one also need to invest in some chain cleaner and a new oily lube because the muc off dry stuff is a bitch to wash off the wheels and its hard to tell of the chain is lubed properly :/
