i was going to put a 140 on but garage down road said it would be the worst thing to ever do something about side walls and when you go round a corner so i stuck with the 130 and pirelli sport demons are good but people have there own opinions i get mine from here they are very good with there prices cheaper than ebay www.tyretectrading.com/store/home.asp

Not tried the Pirelli sport demons myself, so can't comment on them.
I recently had a set of Bridgestone BT45's and have found them to be great. Haven't lost any grip on them once and I've given them some serious full throttle cornering, albeit in decent conditions. I always take it easy in the corners in damp or wet roads. Probably due to riding on the stock michellins for so long and losing grip far too many times in the wet. Have shat myself far too many times on those things. They should be the first thing people should change on their bike.

PS. I would stick to the original sizes myself also.

Couldn't agree more about the stock Michelins, terrible in the web, practically having to go round corners straight. either way I started using the sport demons and I think they are a great choice but have also heard great reviews on the Bridgestone BT45's that Dave uses. When going to change my tyres I did a little research into beefier tyres but in the end decided it caused more problems than what they were worth.

125's have small tyres for a reason lol Wider tires would decrease top speed and lead to an increased possibility of hydroplaning due to overly broad weight distribution.Bigger bikes have fatter tires. They also weigh double what your bike does, and go more than double the speed If you go with bigger tires you will lose
some acceleration (not only do you cut wind less, you also literally spin up the tires slower, as they are fatter and therefore heavier) some aerodynamics (smacking wind with fat tire vs skinny) some leaning speed (when you lean to turn the bike will react slower) inferior traction ( not enough weight per square centimeter of tire to 'grip' the pavement) inferior handling in rain (decreased weight per area=easier to slide or hydroplane) Top end speed.
so before you say i talk BOLLOCKS google it! i have also been down this road and i know my bikes.

iam sorry i didnt realise you was right and millions of bike mechanics were wrong.. there is post after post after post backing my comments i dont see any backing yours, weird. but i guess ur still right tho and iam talking bollocks again...
and they put skiinys on to match the power to weight ratio, put huge tyres on a 125 your engine will work more and wear faster and use more fuel,
not trying to argue with you just trying to help someone to make the right choice.
