Just another YZF-R125 thread...

So, I did my CBT on the 05-08-13, followed by my theory on the 08-08-13 but didn't get the bike until 21-08-13 - those two weeks were murder.

The bike wasn't completely factory when I bought it, the first owner had fitted a seat cowl, rim (snigger) tape and crash bungs before it left the dealer...which saves me the bother...and the money!

Here is a pic of it before I bought it:



I have since removed the front L plate and the pillion pegs, I've added an R&G tail tidy, a Yamaha tank pad and, today, a Yamaha double bubble screen

All I want to add now is some Avitar mirrors, an aftermarket can (either Akra or Remus), a 15t front sprocket, Iridium plug, K&N filters (with new high grade oil) and some Bridgestone BT45's ...although I am tempted to go for the R6 controls and some nice short black levers.  Any recommendations on the levers?

Nice one on the tail tidy and BT 45's, I would highly recommend them.

As for leavers. If you just wanted black ones, I'd have thought that you should be able to just buy some black R125 ones, as my bike came with them as stock.

Nice colour bike too, I used to have one the same until it was written off Still, I'm more than happy with my current 50th anniversary one...for now. Got my theory booked at the end of the month and hope to step up to something bigger straight after.

Ahh...just noticed you said "short" black leavers.

either moto pike or r6 perches for smaller levers, and you know its 3 points and a 60 quid fine for no front l plate
