I have a paddock stand as they are so amazingly handy for the small price. But with regards to my chain - The best thing I have ever done for my bike is this... A SCOTTOILER! - Get one. They are awesome.

what does it do? dripp oil on the chain? Yes at a controlled rate. You set it by turning a dial. For example you can set it to 1 or 2 or more drips per minute. And it drips onto the sprocket face at an angle which spreads along the whole roller of the chain. Here is a picture of my rear sprocket to show you better how its angled.

Most bikes have a o ring chain these days so all you need to do is oil it once a week or so and it will be fine, run the correct chain tension and your fine

Haha. O-Ring chains are very over-rated I think. For one thing they stretch like a bitch! My new heavy duty chain has hardly moved so far.

How much Ben? I'm guessing eBay for it too Yeah eBay for everything. Although I have a D.I.D VX Series (X-Ring) Gold Chain now.
