Boomerang fairing panels now cleaned, polished and decals done. Alot better than the previous ones. As soon as them silver wheels are gone your bike will be transformed! Me being OCD I would have had the R125 at an angle along top right edge of the boom, but oh well

Me being OCD I would have had the R125 at an angle along top right edge of the boom, but oh well Yeah, the decals look straight across in the pics, but remember that they don't hang like that. The top edge is almost straight with the top of the bike. So the R125 decals are slanted at exactly the right angle to match my belly-pan panels etc. Trust me I am a perfectionist too and these decals were played about with a lot (using blu-tack) before being placed. You will see when I take pics of my bike that they look pretty smart.

Well I've been very busy with the bike all day and I've photographed most of it for you lot! Firstly, I added some new Yamaha decals to my helmet... Then into my shed / man-den / workshop to start on my bike. And if Irish Al was wondering why I managed to have some random plastic cap that he needed for his brake caliper, then just take a look at my jars and tins etc. I keep every little nut, bolt, screw, plastic cap etc. I also keep my coffee jars. To put them bits in! And when I get too many jars, I just build another shelf. This is what the place looks like... So now for my chain and sprockets change. This has taken me all day as I have cleaned every last nut and bolt with brake cleaner and a toothbrush! I have even replaced some nuts with A4 Grade Stainless Steel. Anyway, first the wheel came out. Look at the state of that rear end! Then I took off the rear sprocket carrier and sprocket to strip it down and clean it all. You can see the new sprocket and stainless steel nuts too. Here's the new sprocket against the old. And also the new sprocket all fitted with the stainless steel nuts. I really did fully clean every little thing. Such as the chain adjusters. And also replaced the adjusting lock nuts with stainless steel. Then gave the wheel a full clean, down to using a toothbrush! Also re-whitened my tyre lettering while I had the chance. Its far easier doing it with wheel off than when its fitted. Then fully cleaned all the swing-arm and re-fitted the rear wheel. Then I fitted my new gold D.I.D chain. It got too dark for decent pictures by the time I finished the chain though. So I will update this tomorrow with some more pics. Tomorrow's jobs (depending on weather) are: - Clean and re-fit my Scottoiler
- Finish Alarm installation (tidying away wires etc).
- Re-bleed my rear brake
- Give bike a full wash, wax and polish.

Also I have 20 or so new A4 Grade Stainless Steel fairing bolts on their way to me... So if they turn up tomorrow I will be able to fit them too. And once I've done the fairing, I will use what is left to replace the rear hugger and chain guard bolts etc. Thanks to Irish Al and James for telling me its the same bolt. I never thought to actually look for myself! Haha.

Should get black or blue fairing bolts? To match in with the fairings/bike?
And no worries, I found it out after asking around - as I took my rear hugger off to strip down and polish underside of it and the swing arm and I was positive the bolts were longer but in actual fact they're not - they just take so long to get out as it's a metal frame!

I don't want coloured bolts really. The blue is always a crappy "sky blue colour". Plus they are usually anodised aluminium and soft as shit. I have got Grade 4 Stainless Steel fairing size bolts coming. Wayyy stronger and will never rot or tarnish. Going to be ordering some of the hex bolts for the handlebars and the hex bolts for my avatar GP Mirrors. All in the same Grade 4 Stainless Steel. Should look pretty smart when its done. Just takes time working out what sizes the bolts are etc. But just going to keep replacing all nuts and bolts bit by bit...
