i cant afford it this year I was going, but then found out you cant ride in Isle of Man on L-Plates. Which really sucks and I cant be arsed to get a train, a bus, a ferry and some more buses.

That's why they have their own laws and higher tax etc. Where are you dave70 ? Come and answer this. We have lower tax actually....only set at 10% Although we are not part of the UK, we are part of the British Isles but, we are not part of Europe. (The queen is the head of state but, we have our own government and parliament, which is the longest running continuous parliament in the world btw, over 1,000 years old) As for L plates.....yes we have those, same regulations as the UK withe the exception that you are not "supposed" to go above 50mph. This speed restriction aLso applies to R plates, although you don't need to put restrictors in your bike and it only Lasts a year. Also you can legally ride any size bike you like after passing your test and at any age over 16. So basically if you want to come here on L plates thats fine. EDIT: Also, our test doesn't consist of all the mod 1 and mod 2 bollx. Just a ride out with an examiner, which inhcludes an emergancy stop and a U turn.
