Well today I find out something new (to me). It seems I was un-educated on the harmful deposits of oil being left when changing to fresh oil. I change my oil every 1000 to 1500 miles ish and always use decent oil. I used to use Castrol Power 1 but now using Shell's Oil which is developed with Ducati (yes its much better). I also have always ran my engine (since bought at 4000 miles) with Shell V-Power. This is purely to clean my engine and keep it clean. So as you can probably tell I take great care of trying to keep my engine as clean internally as I possibly can. And then today I'm buggering about online and learn about ENGINE FLUSH? You add the bottle (or can) of the flush to your oil and run your engine for half hour. This is done right before you intend to drop your old oil. Otherwise its being said that the nice fresh oil you put in your engine is pretty much ruined straight away by all the shite left over from previous oil being used time and time again and never cleaned! The engine flush is supposed to keep the oil functioning parts of your engine clean for up to around 3 oil changes and its less than a fiver to buy. So its not expensive. In fact I can get a bottle of engine flush at £3 delivered! So I just wondered if anyone else ever does this? And also I found a really decent video better explaining the novel of information that I have just written.

Its a gimmick old oil isn't all that bad just not ass efficient with the engine lubrication but the amount you add in new oil makes up for this, If it was so good the manufacturers would recommend this oil doesnt stick to everything just give it time to drain

I think I need more info on this... To be honest for £3 delivered I might just try it anyway.

but you dont wana completely clean out the engine of all oil or grease Its no for that. Its mixed with your old oil to take any shite and particles that will damage or block parts of your oil system. Then you drop your oil and refill with fresh clean oil. Its also stops your fresh oil being tainted.
